Voluntary loneliness.

"I have 3 daughters. They can not keep me with them in their homes. That's why I have come to the Gurukul.* So I just say: let them be happy in their homes. I am very happy here in the gurukul. We get 2 meals.; a roof under which to stay. Ravi sir is very nice. The madams are all nice. So what I say is: now I am here.

The 'children' can not keep me at home because of their problems. Of my 3 daughters one stays at Dwarka, the other at Uttam Nagar and another at Mehrauli. They have to take care of their in-laws, their children. So I said: leave me here. I said it; they did not say it.

Another reason is that living space is small in Delhi. This causes a great problem. Then, I think you know it is very difficult to stay with sons-in-law."

I asked: "How do you like it here?"

Mukta: "I like it a lot here. I do puja (ritual of worship) twice a day. That will have an effect on my next life. Perhaps if I were with my daughters I would not be able to do this. Here at set times I can do puja and arti (rituals of worship.)

My name is Mukta."

I said: "you are good."
